we contact you.
If your email isn't working we need a backup if there are

Murphy's Law means YOURS
will be the
non-working email address when we have a problem with an order.
Non-working e-addresses are #4 on our list of why your order
is late.
We're not kidding--your delivery can be seriously delayed if we must resort to snail mail.
The number is
SAFE!! We DELETE it soon as your order is shipped.
We respect your
privacy and have better things to do than sell numbers to some lame list or
phone up to ask if you know the capital of East Timor and what its gross
national product might be.
And we hate those bloody annoying sales calls as
much as you do.
So please, just put in a current contact number so we can

Step one:
Don't Panic!
We need just FIVE measurements for the robes.
We need only FOUR measurements for the cloaks.
You won't need much equipment.
Step Two:
If you panicked anyway, get over it and find a friend to help.
This ain't rocket science.
Step Three:
Look at the pictures provided.

GET A FRIEND TO HELP. ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE TAKEN FROM THE BACK.
A. Get one of these:
OR
OR
B. Stand in front of a big mirror.
You can see what's going on and be certain that you're standing up straight.
(All Jedi have good posture. It's a Dignity Thing.)
C. WEAR YOUR SHOES OR BOOTS!
You MUST have on the footwear you will use with the robe or something with a similar thickness of sole OR THE ROBE WILL BE TOO SHORT!
Stand on a book to duplicate the sole-thickness of your boots if you haven't got them yet. Better the robe be too long than too short!
Few things are less cool than a Jedi with drafty ankles.
D. Have we mentioned get a friend to help?
ROBES -- See pictures
We need these FIVE numbers in inches or centimeters:
A. Nape to floor, SHOES ON:
B. Shoulder width across top back
C. Knuckle-to-knuckle, ARMS DOWN!!!
D & E. Chest / hips around body at widest point
F. Arms down, boots on, measure distance from top of wrist to floor.
Note: If any part of your anatomy sticks out in a significant way that will effect the nape to floor measure (like a bust in front or bottom in the back) then angle the measuring to include that and let us know.
_________________________________________________________
DO NOT ADD OR SUBTRACT FROM THESE NUMBERS!
JUST TAKE THEM AND LET US DO THE REST!
YOUR ROBE WILL FIT.

Stand straight but relaxed **ARMS DOWN AT SIDES, make fists. **
Jedi sleeves are supposed to cover the hands.
D & E Chest & Hips:

YARDSTICK AND STRING METHOD OF MEASURING
This is how McGyver might do it....
1 Get a yardstick & non-stretchy twine
2 Tie one end of twine to a pencil.
3 Hold the pencil to the floor with one heel.
4 Play it out twine to your nape
5 Pinch the ending point.
6 Hold that pinched point against the yardstick and measure the length to the knot on the pencil.
If you're on your own....
We don't recommend this, but if you're stranded on a desert island, yet totally desperate to order a robe or cloak you can take your own measurements.
You need a big mirror to see what you're doing.
A carpenter's tape measure works best for the nape.
Yardstick & twine are best for the finger tip measure.
___________________________________________________
NAPE TO FLOOR:
1. Stand sideways to the mirror and place the tape measure box against the starting point of your nape.
2. Play out the tape until the end touches the floor. This is awkward and your arms will be over head and you'll be twisting and turning around. Try to resist and stand up straight.
3. Take several measures until you get an average length
You can do the yardstick & string method by:
1: Put your boot heel on the end of the pencil, with the knot just sticking out the back.
2. Stand up slowly, playing out the length of the string behind you.
3. When straight, press the string between your thumb and your nape. Pinch that point, then measure the length on the yardstick. DO NOT stretch the string too tautly or your robe might be too short.
Shoulder point:
1. Lay a tight fitting T-shirt out on a flat surface.
2. Measure across the upper shoulders, seam to seam.
Knuckle to knuckle Length:
1. Stand before a mirror and hold pencil in your fist, the string comes out between your fingers.
2. Play the string up along your arm (which id DOWN), then shoulder, then to your center back point--the nape.
3. Pinch that point, measure it, then double that number. (If you are 35 inches from knuckle to center, then your knuckle length is 70 inches.)

SIZE AVERAGES FOR HUMANS
We've made 100's of robes & cloaks and there are certain averages that apply.
In general, the knuckle to knuckle length will be 10-20 inches longer than your nape length.
If your nape length is 55 inches your knuckle to knuckle length will be about 70-75 inches.
If your nape is 60 inches, your knuckle length will be 75-80 inches.
And so on.
Women have shorter arms than men.
If you are wearing especially thick soled platform boots then this will throw off the numbers. Let us know if your soles are 2 or more inches thick.
If there is more than a 4-inch variation ....
(Nape is 60 and arms are 70 or 85 inches)
...just measure everything again. You want your robe to fit, so take the time to get it right.
