We're sorry, but due to the difficulty and expense of locating colors other than black or brown, we're no longer doing custom color robes. It's not only hard to find the right weight, texture and weave, but monitors simply do not show the actual color. We've had to eat the expense of buying unusable fabric one time too many. Ours is a microscopic business, we just can't afford to do this. Hope you understand!
Big and Tall? Petite? We will fit you. It's our specialty!
Mystik Merchant is moving the studio!
We're unable to take new orders for the time being. We are out of both black and brown fabric and cannot order more until after we set up in the new studio.
We are sorry about this inconvenience, we really do want to make your robe, but the chaos of this move has put everything on hold until after Christmas. By then, we'll have things running again with our fabric suppliers.
Our most popular Jedi robe, we've made more than a thousand -- one at a time -- since 2001. The Mad Seamstress developed her pattern based on observation of the films and careful notes and sketches at museum exhibits. Her robes are "camera ready" and time and again been judged as "formal canon" by members of the 501st Legion. Many of our clients are members of that group, which is pretty mind-blowing!
Body of robe is a single piece--no shoulder seams, just like in the films. There are sleeve extensions at the cuffs, depending on how long the sleeves. This makes for deep, impressive cuffs.
Each seam is turned under and sewn flat -- no raw edges or wimpy overlock stitching. They're sewn tough like a good pair of jeans so the robe will last for years of wear.
Hems are FULL. There's plenty of sweep and swing to them, just like in the films.
Fabric is a bottom weight cotton twill blend in black and a deep woodsy brown. They're washable, with a tight weave and an awesome hang and weight. Each robe weighs from 2.75-3.5 pounds, depending on size.
Did we say size? We fit *everyone.* Whether you're Hobbit height, tall as Groot, XXXXXL or XXS, we will custom tailor your robe to fit you perfectly -- at no extra cost!
Heard about our guarantee? It's not just for workmanship, anyone can do that. We want you happy with your robe. Love it or get a no-questions refund. Period. The robe has to be unworn, that's all. Check details on our GUARANTEE page. We don't leave fellow fans swinging in the wind!
Questions? No problem. Cruise over to the FAQ page and if that doesn't cover it, we're happy to hear from you. We love chatting with other fans!
Want to order more than two robes? Fantastic! Contact us and we can offer a discount if they go to the same address.
If you live outside the US, order from our INTERNATIONAL page, otherwise just go over to MEASUREMENTS, pick the style you want, and come right back here. Scroll down to the Paypal box.
We'll confirm your order within 24 hours and you should have your custom robe in14 business days, barring weather probs and Murphy's Law. The latter is why we need a contact number--voice mail is fine--just in case. Don't place an order and drop off the grid. Your number is safe. When the order is completed, the number is deleted!
Make sure Paypal has your correct address and contact info -- especially your email addy! Check for those pesky typos, they get everywhere.
Include a deadline date! "ASAP" is not a date; your order will only go to the back of the production line. Just let us know when you need it, we'll get it there!
And may the Force be with you!
We are presently out of fabric and cannot order more until after the move. Check back with us after Christmas!
